So another chapter begins. This time I have finally a large goal in mind ... just have to figure out how the heck I am going to keep on track to get there.

Goal: At the age of 28 (or sooner-depending on if I can and how I can fast track my studies) go in the world of designers and join the ranks of magazines, with a twist... not sure what that twist is yet.

I have just started a certificate III- advanced diploma in commercial arts electronic design and interactive media. Basically FUUUUN!! On a recent trip to Sydney I realised how behind Brisbane is in the design world and hopefully I can make my mark here.

First thing I learnt is if you want to download CS5 or any adobe product make sure you have at least IE7 I played cursed at my computer before remembering a time when I had to upgrade to IE7 on a clients computer to get their reader working.

Second this is my new 1TB hdd is going to very useful

Third thing this is going to be expensive but totally worth it.

Now to keep motivated and start designing. I will be starting a whole link of stuff to display my work etc. eventually...

I am back from hiding, well not hiding but just being lazy and not keeping up with things. After a year of playing around with going to university (and deciding it was not for me) and then working for 6months in a role that really wasn't made for me I have cleared my head and found out what I really knew all along... I should focus on my designing but not the designing that I thought.

Originally I thought I wanted to design websites, by this I mean writing the code and designing the front end and although I still am learning this and building my skills what I mean is designing for magazines and promotional stuff for companies.

I have already designed company logos for two local businesses in Warwick QLD (I will post pictures of the designs at a later point).

So from here on out my thoughts are tips and techniques and occasionally talking about projects I am working on.
